This is a two-month long groom study I did in collaboration with other artists. I was tasked with giving Frida her look and the main challenge was to achieve it with as few descriptions as possible. I utilized several expressions, modifiers, and masks to control the groom's look and direction.
Despite the challenges I encountered, I am very happy with the outcome!
I used xgen groomable splines for the fur, Substance Painter for the surfacing, and RenderMan for Maya to render out the final scene
